Network specialists Rymote awarded Cisco accolade
Network support specialists Rymote are celebrating after becoming one of only six companies in the North East to be awarded Cisco Premier Partner certification.
The Sunderland-based company, which provides remote support to Cisco products, were awarded the certification after exceeding the network giant’s standards for networking competency, service, support and overall customer satisfaction.
Al Yong, CEO of Rymote said: “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved the Cisco Premier certification and I am proud of the Rymote team whose hard work has made it possible.
To be awarded Premier Certification Rymote was required to achieve the Cisco Express Foundation Specialisation, which included tests on technical competency in the integration of basic routing and switching, wireless LANs, and security technologies.
In addition, Rymote was required to integrate a base level of Cisco Lifecycle Services into their offering and demonstrate high levels of customer satisfaction based on independently audited customer surveys.
Rymote are an official Cisco resale partner and provide clients with a broad range of services including pre-sales support, consultancy, design and configuration of networks as well as managing a network of specialist Cisco engineers from their base in the Sunderland Software Centre.
The Cisco Premier certification acknowledges the company’s breadth of skill and ability to deliver integrated Cisco networking solutions.
Al continued: “Achieving Premier certification was a key part of our strategy moving forward and will provide a platform for us to start growing the business and deliver more ground breaking technologies such as Software Defined Networking.”
The certification comes as Rymote were shortlisted for best start-up in the Digital Leaders 100 awards which recognise the top 100 individuals, organisations and products making a real difference in the world of citizen-facing eServices.
The Start-Up award recognises a business that has created a product or delivered a service utilising technology that has had a transformational impact.
Gary Coyle, Chair of the Digital Leaders North East Group said: “The North East boasts one of the most vibrant start-up communities in the UK with a range of ground-breaking, exciting companies being established every year.
“Rymote is a prime example of a new business making waves in their industry and exactly what Digital Leaders, itself a nominated start-up, is all about.
“I am delighted they have been chosen to represent the region at this national competition and wish them the best of luck in the finals.”
The awards, which are voted for by the public, will be announced at a gala dinner, on the 18th June in London.
