Nationwide Security Alliance secures £50,000 finance facility

Midlands-based security business is set for growth after securing a £50,000 finance facility from Birmingham based invoice finance provider, Positive Cashflow Finance.

Nationwide provides manned security, key holding and mobile security patrols for a number of businesses and schools in the Midlands.

The business has been trading since 2009 and with the support of director, Angie Whitehouse, has grown steadily achieving a turnover of £450,000 in 2013. They have already secured more orders and expect to reach sales of £550,000 in 2014.

The funding package from Positive has allowed the business to plan ahead and target growth with the comfort of knowing the funding is available rather than worrying when the clients will be making payments.

The business has seen an increase in demand for mobile security patrols at clients’ premises during periods of the night rather than having 24 hour on site security. This service reduces the overall cost for their clients but also provides them with the comfort that the premises aren’t left unmanned for long periods of time.

Angie Whitehouse, director at Nationwide, said: “In the past we have been cautious when growing the business as we haven’t had the added comfort of having a funding facility in place. This facility gives us that comfort. It has also taken the strain away from chasing outstanding payments allowing us more time to meet with our clients and further develop the business.”

Paul Varley, regional sales director at Positive Cashflow Finance, said: “Nationwide is a great example of a company with huge growth potential being held back by a lack of funding. We are delighted to be involved with Angie and the rest of the team and look forward to assisting the growth of the business over the next few years.”

Positive is an independent invoice finance provider with offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Basingstoke offering facilities from £10,000 to £1m.
