BCL Legal announces five new appointments across private practice & support teams

BCL Legal - one of the UK’s leading legal recruitment consultancies which has offices in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol and Reading – is continuing its growth after appointing five new members of staff to its private practice and support teams. These new starters bring the firm’s total headcount to 49 and come just three months after the last intake of staff.

Sharan Kokri has joined as a consultant and will be working in the North West personal injury and insurance team. Her focus will be on roles in Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire. Sharan trained as a lawyer and has worked in the recruitment industry since 2003; she has previously held positions at Hudson, Taylor Root and G2 Legal.

In addition to Sharan, the North West division has also welcomed Nick Carroll (pictured) as a consultant. Nick is specialising in recruiting residential property fee earners at all levels from partner through to assistant. He has worked as a barrister’s clerk at both Young Street & 18 St John Street chambers. He has also been a conveyancer at Eversheds and his last role before joining BCL Legal was as business development manager at Pannone.

The third new starter is Annette Hinchcliffe. Annette is the Yorkshire and North East team’s senior associate and will be recruiting solicitors, paralegals and legal executives into law firms across Leeds and Yorkshire. She started her career within legal recruitment in 1999 after qualifying as a solicitor. Annette has joined BCL Legal from Selection Group.

Kate Hale has joined the South of England team and will be focusing on placing lawyers within the residential conveyancing sector. Before joining BCL Legal, Kate worked in the aviation industry for nine years which included a role as a customer service trainer at British Airways.

The firm’s final new appointment is Victoria Taylor who has joined as central support manager. Victoria, who holds a BA Hons Criminal Justice Studies and Criminology degree, will be overseeing HR, CV production and marketing administration as well as I.T and facilities management. She has joined from The Hut Group.

James Batt, managing director of BCL Legal, said: “This latest wave of new starters reflects the pace of growth within the business. The last 12 months has seen each of our teams expand so our focus is to build on that by continuing to recruit the best people who can add value and provide the best possible service to both our candidates and clients.”
