Barnardo’s expand in North Tyneside
National charity Barnardo’s has expanded its operations in North Tyneside with the move of its offices to Cobalt Business Park.
The children’s charity have secured ground floor space in Cobalt 13a - one of the Park’s three storey office buildings, designed around a large central entrance and dramatic glazed façade.
Adrian Hill, director at Cobalt’s operators ,Highbridge, said: “We are delighted that Barnardo’s chose to relocate to Cobalt Park, the development’s excellent public transport links and supporting facilities were a major factor in their decision making.”
Steve Oversby, director of Barnardo’s in the North East, said: “We are pleased to have found this new accommodation on the Cobalt Business Park. Our current building in Jesmond is no longer fit for purpose and the move is in line with both our strategic objectives as an organisation and the way forward for Barnardo’s in the North East.”
The letting follows three deals major deals for Cobalt, announced at the beginning of 2014, in which G4S secured 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 8, Accenture 10,000 sq ft at Cobalt 15a and IBM 5,000 sq ft at Cobalt Central.
