Sefton Park Palm House to host Liverpool Arab Arts Festival finale

Being the only festival of its kind in the UK, Liverpool Arab Arts Festival is set to bring a true sense of Arabia to Sefton Park Palm House on Sunday, June 15. Between 12pm-6pm, The Family Fun Day, which is the festival’s conclusive event, is set to charm visitors by delivering a diverse range of entertainment that is suitable for all ages.

In hopes of providing an exciting climax to this year’s festivities, many world-class dance and musical acts will perform throughout the day. These include the fantastic Oud player Attab Addad, House and Electronica legend Simona Abdallah, London-based band, Karama and traditional dancing from Nawarra.

Director of the Palm House Moira Leonard said: “We are extremely excited to welcome back the fantastic festival and play host to this year’s event finale. From music marvels to foodie fun, the Family Fun Day will certainly offer something for everyone. As the event is very family orientated, we look forward to welcoming a varied audience.”

In addition to the authentic sounds, guests will be treated to an array of culinary wonders and spice sensations from across the Middle-East, as well as being able to browse and buy unique goods from the pop-up stalls.

Moira added: “The festival, which has been running for thirteenth consecutive years, has become a true highlight of the city’s cultural calendar. It really is wonderful to be a part of such a superb event that is much loved across the North West.”

The Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday, June 15, between 12pm-6pm. Admission is free.
