HR Software Show - Advanced showcases latest HR solutions for improving employee engagement
Tailored self-service interfaces move businesses away from ‘one size fits all’ HR approach
11 June 2014 – Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), a market leading business applications and services provider, is showcasing its latest HR solutions for improving employee engagement on stand H130 at the HR Software Show (18 and 19 June 2014 at London’s Olympia).
These new solutions include configurable HR self-service interfaces, which form part of Advanced’s OpenHR and OpenPeople version8 HR and payroll applications and provide users with customised, self-service portals that act as personalised ‘work spaces’. Designed to increase engagement between the organisation and staff, these solutions move companies away from the traditional ‘one size fits all’ approach to HR.
On-stand demonstrations of Advanced’s self-service solutions will highlight how they are tailored to the requirements of individual users in relation to their workplace role - whether they are HR managers, administrators, departmental managers or everyday users. This approach helps to improve engagement while empowering staff to take greater ownership over their own personal data and HR-related tasks.
By using Advanced’s customisable self-service portals, users can create profiles, edit personal data and decide what they want or need to view. In-built options for synchronising social media platforms such as Yammer, Twitter or LinkedIn are included as well as the more traditional functionality of training and absence request ‘forms’, providing users with a comprehensive and interactive ‘HR hub’. OpenHR and OpenPeople version8 can also be deployed onto mobile devices allowing self-service portals to be accessed ‘on the move’ to support flexible working and further improve staff engagement.
Simon Fowler, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Commercial Division), says: “Finding ways to improve staff engagement, thereby reducing staff churn and maximising productivity, are vital for many organisations. Solutions that improve how staff interact with the organisation are therefore key.
“Gone are the days of the inflexible HR system that requires all users to interact in the same way. The introduction of flexible and interactive self-service portals allow staff to manage their own information and HR tasks in the most effective way possible.”
The latest version of OpenPeople also features comprehensive pension auto-enrolment (PAE) and document management functionality, enabling organisations to meet statutory requirements and streamline their administrative processes. There will also be an on-stand demonstration of the the PAE wizard; created to guide users through the recent changes by HMRC.
Finally, Advanced will be hosting a presentation entitled: ‘How scalable is your HR capability – utilising technology to manage change’, on Thursday, 19 June, at 2pm. The presentation will look at how changes through acquisition, consolidation and investment, or lack of investment, have left many HR departments facing new challenges and highlights the role technology plays in providing a solution to these challenges.
