Game on for Adam Franklin and Yacht Club Outside
Yacht Club Outside has won another major contract having been announced as the official caterer for the World Corporate Games 2014. The Liverpool-based catering company which is led by locally-renowned chef proprietor Adam Franklin will be providing corporate hospitality across the city during the four day festival, culminating in the Great Games Party at St George’s Hall which will be attended by 3,000 business people.
The World Corporate Games takes place between 26th and 29th June and is the world’s largest annual multi-sports festival for organisations. It will be one of the headline events of the International Festival for Business 2014, attracting thousands of sporting business people from across the world.
The festival, which was founded in San Francisco in 1988, provides a number of benefits for organisations and employees including promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace, team building, enhancing staff morale and employee engagement. With a vast number of major organisations already committed to entering sizeable teams into this year’s Games such as Ernst and Young, Jaguar Land Rover, CSC, IBM and Intel, 2014 is already on track to be among the biggest games ever staged.
Adam Franklin, chef proprietor of Yacht Club Outside, said:
“Being involved with the World Corporate Games again is a major coup for Yacht Club Outside and the fact that we will be playing such an important role in the all of the Games celebrations, which will be a major event at IFB in Liverpool this year, makes the contract win all the more exciting.
“We will also be working with partners such a L20 Hotel School to give young people in the industry the opportunity to develop their skills at an international event of this scale, so they can broaden their experience and become work-ready.”
Doug White, global partnership director at the World Corporate Games, said:
“Adam and his team provided the catering for the UK Corporate Games which was held two years ago in Preston. So as soon as we knew we were back in the North West, he was our first choice for this event. Adam has a real ‘can do mentality’ which we share and he always puts the needs of the customer first. We have always been delighted with the service, advice and most importantly the quality we have received.”
Yacht Club Outside operates from the 200-capacity restaurant and bar, Yacht Club Liverpool, which has garnered an incredible reputation for bringing its own unique brand of honest-to-goodness comfort food to the table, and for hosting weddings and corporate events of the highest order over the years.
