Leeds property specialists expand after record-breaking growth

Leeds-based property experts, Parklane, has announced two senior appointments at its city centre office following a record-breaking first half of the year that has seen sales surge by 40% compared to the same period last year.

Satty Bhamra has joined the team at the firm’s Swinegate office as sales manager, while Kim Lister has taken on the role of property manager to support Parklane’s ever-expanding rental portfolio.

Phil Abson, branch manager at Parklane’s city office, comments: “We are delighted to welcome both Satty and Kim to join our team, especially at such an exciting time for the business.

“We’ve had an outstanding first half of the year across both rental and sales, and the Leeds city centre rental market in particular is continuing to see incredibly strong growth.

“In fact, right across the city centre we are seeing demand for rentals outstripping supply. The sales market is also booming, with some of our city centre properties surpassing sales prices by up to £10k.

“Both Satty and Kim’s experience in their respective sectors will be invaluable as we look forward to exceeding our targets for the second half of the year and continuing to grow the business.”

With the Leeds rental market growing at such an exponential rate, Parklane is calling out to potential landlords wanting to reap the financial rewards presented by letting city centre properties.

The opening of both the First Direct Arena and Leeds Trinity in recent years demonstrates the appeal of city living, which is set to continue with the opening of Victoria Gate in 2016.
