Aaron & Partners celebrates end of year success

A leading Chester law firm is celebrating continued success after increasing its annual fee income for the second year running.

Aaron & Partners LLP’s fees for the 2013-2014 financial year totalled £7.26million, a 7.4% increase on the previous year’s £6.76million.

Andy Duxbury, Chief Executive of Aaron & Partners LLP, said: “Coming out of the recession we have consistently put in a strong financial performance and it’s heartening to see that we continue to move in the right direction.

“We’re especially pleased to report growth across several departments – both the Employment and Wills Trusts and Tax teams fees rose by 29%, to £900K and £1.2m respectively, while our Real Estate and Special Situations departments also recorded a significant increase in fees.

“We view the figures as a testament to our continued development of both our staff and the services we offer and it’s fantastic to see that we are consistently moving forward.”

The firm, which was founded in 1983, is currently undergoing significant expansion, recruiting for its Chester office and opening a new Shrewsbury office to accommodate the influx of staff, following its acquisition of Bennett’s Legal in May last year.

Andy added: “The move to the new Shrewsbury office came earlier than expected, due to the success of the Bennett’s Legal acquisition, and we have invested heavily in recruitment – with a 10% increase in head count across the firm, and resources such as IT.

“Recording an increase in fees billed shows that the investments we’ve made have already begun to pay dividends.

“You get a virtuous circle, bringing in great people with specialisms that attract great clients that then requires you to hire more people but, of course, that’s the ideal situation. We’re in a very strong position and hopefully we can continue the upward trend for many years to come.”
