Carpetright plc revamps service for the insurance industry via Typhoon8

The insurance industry can now tap into Carpetright’s unrivalled carpet replacement service, thanks to an independent management insurance system called Typhoon8.

Typhoon8 (T8) is a managed software platform and flooring expert service centre, developed for handling insurance replacement requests solely on behalf of, but independent from Carpetright. The system provides complete pre-authorised mandate fulfilment, a request-an-estimate service, as well as discounts on retail prices, with no fees.

It has been designed for use by insurers, claim management companies, loss adjustors, third party validation companies and suppliers providing centralised and immediate invoicing, for speedier, more efficient claims. The service saves insurers money, improves the claims process and provides an enhanced customer service experience with no conflict of interest.

Typhoon8 is leading the way by providing, flexible technology solutions at every stage of the claims process. There is a desktop application for office-based claims handlers who need comprehensive dashboards and access to a range of services during the claims process. Responsive web applications are available for independent loss adjustors and claims estimators that will work equally well on tablet and desktop. For more mobile professionals such as estimators, there are downloadable apps for iPhone, Android and Windows platforms. The apps are designed to work offline and synchronise with the Typhoon8 servers when a network is available.
