North East Agency are Double Finalists at UK Mobile App Awards

North East based software agency Gospelware entered two categories at this year’s UK Mobile App Design Awards, and successfully achieved finalist status for both entries.

The company which started in 2010 have made a few apps recently that promote wellbeing in the lives of young people. Working with their clients GCSEPod and Mindapples they’ve built products that focus on key areas in a teenagers life, study and expression.

GCSEPod, dubbed ‘the spotify of education’ due to its unique podcast player, helps students to revise for their exams and was entered into the ‘Education’ category. The entry that has gained recognition within industry since its development, came a close second to a teacher registration app.

Moodbug, a social forum centered around mood sharing - funded by innovation labs and backed by Comic Relief - was entered into for the ‘not for profit’ category but just missed out on the crown to global childrens organisation, Barnardo’s.

Gospelware who are becoming accustomed to award achievements - even though pipped to the post this time - are elated with the results. Dedicated to what they do, they consider any recognition of their work to be a well received win.

MD Ryan says: “Although we are fortunate enough to make apps for many sectors, it’s the ones that change peoples lives that makes us most passionate about what we do”.

As attention grows on the digital sector, Gospelware are committed to using their skills for helping others and bringing mobile into the classroom with the design of apps such as GCSEPod and Moodbug.

The Gateshead born company are expanding and have made two new hires in the past coupleof months. With client work and in-house projects, they are set on innovating for a digital future by continuing to make a difference through technology and software.
