Ve Interactive presented at the 11th annual Technology Ventures Conference
Ve was delighted to exhibit and speak at the 11th annual Technology Ventures Conference in Cambridge today. This is the largest student-led entrepreneurship conference at Cambridge University, where more than 400 entrepreneurs, investors, technologists, academics, and students shared, collaborated and connected with visionary thinkers on all aspects of entrepreneurship.
Technology innovation through entrepreneurship has driven exponential technology growth in the recent past, reminiscent of the industrial revolution and this year’s conference highlighted how moonshot thinking can re-shape the way we tackle global problems, and sustainably safeguard our population’s future.
Cambridge hosts a large cluster of high-tech businesses focusing on software, electronics and biotechnology. Many of these businesses have connections with Cambridge University. The area is now one of the most important technology centres in Europe and the largest entrepreneurial hub in the UK, annually receiving up to 24% of the country’s total invested risk capital.
With a fantastic series of talks and workshops, the theme was “Beyond the Now”. Keynotes speakers: Naveen Jain, Hazel Henderson and Eric Drexler brouight a plethora of incredible entrepreneurship, technology innovation, visionary and life experience to the table. As a serial entrepreneur, sustainability economist, and molecular nanotechnologist respectively, they provided unique perspectives on technological horizons. Subject matters on the day included; Moonshot Thinking - business models that shatter paradigms; The Future of Our Health; The Future of Our Population and The Future of Our Economies.
Ve’s Co Founder & CEO David J. Brown lead a workshop to a full house on the subject of ‘Executing to Perfection,’ where he talked about the value of being a perfectionist when building a company. Ve also exhibited at the conference and spoke to interested graduates about career opportunities.
