Advanced showcases its budget and forecasting solution at CIPFA Annual Conference
Market leading business applications and services provider, Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced), will demonstrate its budgeting and forecasting solution Collaborative Planning at next month’s Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy’s (CIPFA) annual conference. Advanced will be on stand 34 at Hammersmith’s Novotel London West Hotel where the event takes place from 1-3 July 2014.
Advanced will demonstrate how its solution has helped dozens of public sector organisations realise millions of pounds of savings over the past two years thanks to its powerful reporting capability and seamless integration with a range of Financial Management Systems (FMS), including Oracle.
Collaborative Planning provides real-time information through a single-based web system, allowing budget holders to review and update their own budgets and forecasts on a rolling basis for a more holistic, joined up approach to their finance process. Users also benefit from the ability to drill down in to key data held at an organisational wide level, streamlining finance processes and delivering time savings of between 50-60% compared to spreadsheet working.
Advanced will also be using the event to demonstrate its wider suite of solutions available to the public sector, including its new finance management system eFin, as well as the latest version of e5, and its procurement offering, eProcurement.
The stand will also boast a football theme in honour of the World Cup, including the attraction of ‘Cereball’ football mind game – a virtual brain challenge which pits players’ mental powers against each other for the chance to win a bottle of Champagne.
Dean Dickinson, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Public Sector & Enterprise Division) said: “As finances continue to be paired back in the public sector, organisations continue to look for value-adding budgeting and forecasting solutions to improve their performance and do more with less.
“Local authorities are increasingly aware of the need to replace spreadsheets with smarter, more versatile ways of working that are also capable of delivering significant cost savings. As we’ll demonstrate at the show, our Collaborative Planning solution is consistently proving it can do this. It is not surprising that organisations are increasing their investment into solutions that can help them stay on budget and still deliver the necessary finance function required.”
Advanced will also be hosting a workshop event on day two of the event, entitled: ‘How to achieve transformation from the way you manage your budgets’. The workshop, which starts at 1.30pm, includes presentations from a number of senior finance staff from local authorities already using Collaborative Planning in conjunction with Oracle’s FMS.
Advanced provides leading integrated business applications and services to organisations across the public sector. A wealth of experience, credibility and expertise has been developed over the years from working with clients in this sector.
