Harewood Associates raise £5,500 for cancer charity
A Bolton-based property investment company has raised £5,500 for its 2014 nominated charity, MacMillan Cancer Care.
Harewood Associates, which aim to raise £10,000 by the end of the year, has exceeded the half-way mark through direct donations to the charity and the sale of a luxury holiday to Florida at a raffle for clients and locals.
Peter Kiely, Director at Harewood said “Macmillan has a particularly personal resonance with me. In recent years, I have lost my dear Mother and many close friends and relatives to cancer, and in those dark times the light that Macmillan provided was invaluable.”
Harewood Associates intend to hold a number of small events throughout 2014 to hit its fundraising target of £10,000.
Rose Tipton, Fundraising manager at Macmillan said: “It is fantastic that Harewood Associates are getting behind our latest campaign to make sure no one faces cancer alone.
“Their total so far is amazing and we are extremely grateful to everyone involved.”
