New look Barratts shoe retailer to expand in Leeds after rebounding from third administration

Online shoe retailer, Barratts, has chosen Park House in Leeds to underpin its expansion plans. The new office will support a growing team, as entrepreneur Michael Ziff builds their online retail operation.

The new online Barratts business launched recently, and saw eight times the traffic expected to the site on its opening weekend. The business aims to expand the product offering to include clothing, sportswear and equipment for outdoor activities.

Barratts shoes fell into administration for the third time last year, until the remaining stores and the Barratts brand was sold to a management team led by Michael Ziff (for the second time) who are now concentrating on online trading.

Commenting on the move Michael Ziff, director of Barratts said: “Leeds is great home for our new business thanks to a wealth of digital talent from the universities and a thriving wider digital economy.

“After an extensive search, Park House was the right choice because of the high quality working environment and professionalism of the staff.”

The business has acquired a warehouse for stock and distribution in Northamptonshire.

Park House, located on Park Square, provides premium workspaces for businesses looking to accommodate a flexible workforce. It accommodates single workers to large teams and at reasonable rates.

The all-inclusive fees include fully equipped offices, refreshments and full reception support. Rental terms can run from a few days to long-term lets. Park House also offers virtual offices that provide an LS1 postcode and state-of-the-art meeting facilities with WiFi connectivity and SMART screens.
