Tangerine hits 60 – not out

Following an extensive growth period and a number of high profile business wins, Tangerine PR is celebrating a record year that has seen the agency grow to 60 employees.

The agency, which has recruited across all levels, has appointed former journalist, Dave Goddard to head of media and crisis.

Dave, who has more than 20 years’ experience in national newspapers such as The Sun and News of the World, will work closely with the wider team across all B2C and B2B accounts, providing invaluable media insight to enhance coverage levels and management of crises.

The agency has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Andrea Littler as associate director. Joining with more than 10 years’ PR experience, Andrea brings a wealth of technology and entertainment expertise from London agencies, Consolidated PR and Bite Communications. Andrea will help drive forward the consumer arm’s new business growth, as well as development of existing clients.

Appointed to the B2B team is Helena Reid, who joins as senior account director and will work closely with MD Sam Gregory, in growing the agency’s EMEA client portfolio. Helena brings more than 10 years’ experience in technology, corporate and personal finance across UK and EMEA markets, and will head up key B2B accounts including Interface, Encirc and Zerum.

With four more recruits, B2B is now an 18-strong team. Emma Sivakumaran joins as account manager, along with junior account manager, Jennifer Adams, who will both play key roles in organic growth and developing the agency’s B2B portfolio. Joining them from The Scott Partnership as junior account executive, is Laura Lewis, and finally journalism graduate, Rachel Billings as PR assistant.

Other key recruits in Tangerine’s consumer team are Kellie Hindley, who joins as senior account executive, and graduates, Bryony Czujko and Jemima Park, recruited as account executive and PR assistant, respectively.

The Juice Academy, the social media apprentice programme spearheaded by Tangerine, has appointed Liz Price as communications assistant and Jonny Escott as junior account executive, the agency’s third apprentice from the programme.

Sandy Lindsay, Tangerine’s founder and group MD, said: “This last year has seen Tangerine launch a brand new offer – talent management – as well as bringing in a number of high profile clients including Amir Khan, Royal Enfield, Moda In Pelle and JW Lees.

“By appointing Dave, among other recent recruits such as Adele Wilson, as head of insight and strategy, we have strengthened our business proposition, facilitating the agency’s ongoing growth and commitment to deliver the best possible service for our clients.”

Dave Goddard said: “Tangerine’s reputation for excellence has grown rapidly over the years and it’s an honour to be welcomed into such an impressive team. The ambition, drive and talent at the agency make coming into work every day exciting and challenging in equal measure.

“Ultimately, my aim is to add value over and above the existing experience within the team and help shape the agency’s approach to media and its crisis offering.”
