Ve Interactive announces intent to open an office in Milan in September 2014

Ve has officially announced that it will be opening an office in the Italian city of Milan this coming September. To date Italian clients have been acquired and serviced by Ve’s Italian desk based in its London HQ.

As proven by the opening of several of the company’s other international offices, Ve sees big benefits in taking steps to localising its various global operations. This particular model has so far worked for Ve France, Ve Benelux, Ve DACH and Ve Brazil, where new opportunities, momentum and exciting results have all been achieved by teams who originally honed their skills and client rosters in London.

By opening in Milan, Ve’s Italian commercial team and account managers will have greater ability to meet and service their Italian clients and this evolution will therefore provide even better customer service.

Said David J. Brown, Co Founder & CEO: “With a growing client base in Italy, Ve is delighted to be expanding into what is Europe’s fourth-largest economy. Italy is one of the fastest growing e-commerce markets in Western Europe, with over 16M online shoppers having made at least one purchase in the last three months.”

Corriere della Comunicazione, the online newspaper for the Italian digital economy, quotes Roberto Smooth, the president of Netcomm, who said that 2014 is certainly an exciting year for Italy and one in which several factors have already strengthened the transformation of consumer behavior, changed business models of companies and contributed to the internationalisation of markets. The website states that the Italian market, despite its difficulties, is now considered very promising and with great potential for growth by international observers.

Ve’s commercial objectives are two-fold; firstly to support our existing clients in the country, and also to develop and stimulate new business, which the Milan team will be focusing on. Current Italian desk head, Luca Mecca, will be appointed the MD of Ve’s initiative in Milan and the operation will look to hire 40 employees within its first year.
