Developer submits plans to turn Longhirst Hall into private homes
A Newcastle property firm has submitted plans to turn closed Morpeth hotel Longhirst Hall into private homes.
Gosforth-based Felton Property And Investment Co Ltd has submitted plans to Northumberland County Council for 27 self-contained apartments and four private dwellings on the site.
The plans detail alteration and conversion of the existing Longhirst Hall and associated buildings.
In March this year Longhirst Hall shut its doors when its operator, Hotel Lease (Number 3) went into liquidation, leaving a number of weddings cancelled.
