Hospitality entrepreneurs invest in the future of a Yorkshire pub

An entrepreneurial couple has bought a Sheffield pub for an undisclosed amount, and intent to invest in its refurbishment.

Rivelin, Tofts Lane, Rivelin, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, was sold for an undisclosed price by leisure property specialists Fleurets, acting on behalf of Punch Taverns, after attracting a number of offers in excess of the asking price of £275,000.

Local businessman Dean Crookes together with his wife Amanda were the successful purchasers and after closing the pub for a short period of time post completion, they plan to re-open shortly afterwards after refurbishment.

Nick Thomas of Fleurets commented ’The sale of the Rivelin attracted serious interest from a number of parties after it was placed on the market earlier this year. Such was the strength of the interest that a sale of the Rivelin was agreed at a figure substantially in excess of the asking price, as a result of inviting Best and Final offers.
