Leeds businessman launches Chapel Allerton entertainment venue creating 42 jobs
A successful Leeds businessman has launched The Woods in Chapel Allerton, a new entertainment venue that has created 42 new jobs.
The three-floor bar and restaurant has been opened by Tom Edge, of Adel, who previously owned a successful clothing chain.
Situated in the former home of Angels Share and Hummingbird on Stainbeck Lane, The Woods boasts two bar areas, a restaurant, cinema and a stage for regular live music events.
Speaking about the his new venture, owner Tom Edge, said: “I wanted to create a unique venue that offers something a bit different – all backed up by great customer service and stylish, comfortable surroundings.
“The Woods isn’t a just a standard bar or restaurant, it’s a space that can be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you want a business meeting over lunch, a coffee with friends, to watch local bands live or dance until late, there really is something for you.
“There’s also specific zones that can be hired out for business meetings and private parties, as well as a downstairs work station area where people can use their laptops whilst enjoying lunch.”
