Cramlington’s first foodie festival arrives at Manor Walks

North East food lovers can indulge in tasty treats and local produce during Cramlington’s first food festival hosted at Northumberland’s largest retail and leisure destination this month.

The first Cramlington Foodie Festival, held at Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure on Saturday, July 19 2014, from 10am to 4pm, will offer visitors a tasteful experience as they explore a variety of food and craft stalls at the centre.

Amongst the local food traders attending the day-long festival will be The Chirnells Farmhouse Kitchen, The Northumberland Sausage Company and The Chocolate Smiths to offer a diverse range of produce.

A selection of Manor Walks’ retailers will also be serving up delicious delights, including Curiously Wicked, O’Briens Café, Coffee As You Like It, M&S Simply Food, Asda and Sainsbury’s.

Throughout the day visitors to Manor Walks will have the chance to enjoy summer classics cooked up on the Cramlington Foodie Festival demonstration kitchen. Shoppers will be able to watch, learn and get involved with the making of the dishes during the cooking sessions, which will take place throughout the day, while face painting will help keep the younger visitors entertained.

Bruno Coppola, general manager at Manor Walks, said: “We are very excited to be hosting Cramlington’s first-ever food festival right here at Manor Walks. It is great to be working with so many of our retailers and local traders to celebrate quality food produced here in the North East.

“We always strive to reward our loyal customers with a variety of events to ensure there are surprises in their regular shopping trips and this month’s Cramlington Foodie Festival is sure to bring the feel-good factor to Manor Walks. Visitors will be able to enjoy food stalls, craft stalls and a range of activities at the centre of their community.

“At Manor Walks we have a fantastic selection of eateries, restaurants and retailers offering quality local produce and we hope this will be the first of many food festivals to come to Cramlington, so come on down and sample some of the North East’s favourite food suppliers.”

With over 100 retailers including Northumberland’s only multiplex cinema and a great range of family restaurants and retailers, Manor Walks Shopping & Leisure in Cramlington offers a huge amount of choice to suit a range of tastes.
