METRO Slovakia revamps customer strategy with PrePay Solutions
METRO Cash & Carry, the international self-service wholesaler, has chosen to extend its existing partnership with PrePay Solutions, the European leader in prepaid services, to enhance its customer strategy. METRO will combine payment and loyalty on a single card, already managed by PrePay Solutions’ innovative technology, in order to provide special rewards for its most frequent customers. The new strategy will also provide a loyalty programme that offers recognition and rewards to its best customers. The strategy will complement the successful programme launched early this year for METRO’s sister company, MAKRO, in the Czech Republic, which PrePay Solutions also facilitated.
Under the terms of the scheme, customers are identified by METRO and then invited to join an exclusive programme. The recognition element consists of non-cash benefits such as preferred parking, extended opening hours, dedicated tills and customer service. The reward element consists of exclusive access to special promotions and attractive cash back offers. PrePay Solutions provides the back-end and the store value platform that allows eligible customers to combine payment and loyalty on a single card, distribute additional cards to staff, and to authorise transactions on either the payment feature or the cash back value.
