Stockton's Pickering Lifts expands into Sussex
A North East independent lift manufacturer is opening a new office in Sussex as part of a drive to expand its national reach.
Stockton-based Pickering Lifts, which already operates 12 offices across the UK, is moving into premises in Burgess Hill which will house a warehouse and offices.
The move is part of the firm’s five-year growth strategy, launched in 2011, that aims to double turnover from £20 million to £40 million.
A team of 12, headed by customer support manager, Glyn Evans, will be based at the office, delivering Pickerings’ full suite of services, including lift maintenance, callout and repair service, lift and access products, loading systems, escalators, as well as heating and cooling systems to customers in the South Coast.
Pickerings Lifts employs 360 already works with a number of major clients in the area including local hotels, businesses, councils and high street retailers.
Glyn Evans, said: “This expansion is great news for Pickerings Lifts, and great news for our client base in the area, which we can provide an even better level of service to.
“The new office really demonstrates our ambitions as a group, and will allow us to broaden our reach across the whole of the South Coast.
“We have a great team in place, and we’re looking forward to growing the office, and continuing to deliver the outstanding quality of work our customers have come to expect from us.”
