Apprentice Recruitment continues at NCT

Northern Construction Training (NCT) has limited places remaining in its August intake of apprentices and is encouraging young people interested in learning more about construction industry trades, to get in touch.

NCT offers apprenticeships for people aged 16-18, predominantly in bricklaying and joinery, and focuses on teaching these skills to the highest standard before locating placements for the leaners to demonstrate and further improve their skills as well as gaining experience with on site professionals.

After completing basic training on site, apprentices work with NCT partners, including blue chip organisations, local businesses and community groups, to complete projects on site, with the support of experienced professionals.

Projects that current apprentices have honed their skills on include building a memorial wall at a local school, renovating an old church and new build housing.

Jamie Paterson, Managing Director at NCT, said, “At NCT we’re passionate about educating our apprentices to the highest possible level and finding them quality placements where they work with highly regarded, experienced professionals. Our aim is not just to help them achieve their qualification but to introduce them to businesses and individuals that may be in a position to hire them in the future.

“It’s hugely important to us that our apprentice intakes are committed to working hard to maintain the reputation that the students before them have helped build. We’re really proud of the hundreds of apprentices that we have worked with over the years and if you would like to be one of our future learners then please get in touch.”
