Brighouse-based Transline Logistics announces 1 million parcel milestone after major investment
Brighouse-based Transline Logistics has announced an important milestone in the company’s one-year history, after revealing that its home delivery service is now distributing more than one million parcels per month.
The company now operates from four distribution sites in the UK, including Halifax, Liverpool, Manchester and Nottingham, working alongside some of the country’s leading internet retailers.
After launching the firm in 2013 following a £1 million investment, Transline Logistics, a subsidiary of Transline Group, has grown to run a fleet of 250 vehicles and already competes alongside market leaders.
The company believes its success has confirmed that parcel couriers are becoming an increasingly important part of the retail environment as more customers shop online.
Jon Taylor, joint managing director at Transline Group, said: “At Transline we are always looking at new ways of innovating and growing the business. Building on our successful logistics recruitment business we felt ideally placed to diversify and bring another complementary service to our customers.”
“Online retail is constantly growing, and so are delivery expectations. We believe that we are able to provide a service that is both high-quality and cost effective.”
The company’s new venture has led to them employing more than 500 people across its distribution network, all of which were newly created jobs.
Paul Beasley, joint managing director at Transline Group, commented: “Building Transline Logistics from the ground up has been an exciting move for the company, and it has allowed us to further expand across the UK.
“Our customers already believe in our trusted service and we’re confident that our home delivery offering can continue to make a positive impact in the market.”
