Five jobs saved following sale of Whitley Bay estate agent
Embleys Estate Agents Limited has had to enter Administration to protect itself from a pending legal action from a former business associate.
The leading estate agency is located on Ilfracombe Gardens in Whitley Bay.
The administrators, Robson Scott Associates Limited, based in Gosforth and Darlington, have been working with the company’s management to ensure that the employees jobs are saved.
Upon entering administration on 14 July, a sale was completed to a new company set up by the previous management who are also keen to preserve the Embley’s brand.
The deal ensures that all jobs have been protected.
Eamonn Wall, managing director of Robson Scott, said: “It is always unfortunate when a company has to enter a formal insolvency process. However, working in conjunction with the Embleys management and their accountant, John Dudgeon from Blu Sky, North Shields, we are pleased that a deal has been concluded allowing an otherwise successful business a second chance whilst protecting jobs that would have been lost”.
