Berry & Cooper’s Anderson top-scores in national insolvency exam
A Manchester insolvency expert has achieved the UK’s highest score for an ACCA member in the industry’s professional examinations.
Peter Anderson, a senior manager at corporate recovery and insolvency practice Berry & Cooper, was a top scorer in the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) tests.
He won the prize for the ACCA candidate with the highest marks in the 2013 assessments, which took place over consecutive days late last year and comprised three exams each lasting three and a half hours.
The qualification has allowed him to obtain the Insolvency Practitioner Licence and marks another welcome milestone for Berry & Cooper, which was launched following a merger in June 2014.
Stephen Berry, managing partner of Berry & Cooper, said: “Peter has worked incredibly hard to reach the highest possible level of attainment in a very difficult exam process.
“For him to not only pass but achieve the highest mark in the country is quite astonishing and we are all extremely proud of his efforts. We are determined to keep building a talented team and Peter is a prime example of that ethos.”
