North East BIC explores new horizons
The North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC), a regional enterprise agency and business complex has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new member of staff.
Lilla Preston, special projects manager, has secured full time employment at the BIC where she is exploring new opportunities to help the BIC expand. Having recently returned from the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN) conference in Spain, Lilla is keen to build on her new contacts and tap into international opportunities.
Originally joining the BIC to help deliver the SME Innovation Programme her new role will see her seeking additional projects for the BIC to expand its portfolio, Lilla said:
“The BIC’s accreditation and membership of the EBN provides new opportunities for collaborative projects and the sharing best practice across Europe. The BIC is committed to maximising the opportunities for transnational partnership across the range of its enterprise offer – business incubation and office space, business start up, innovation and education and training.
“My time at the BIC so far has been great, the team are wonderful and there’s a real desire to create new innovative projects that add value to our customers.”
The BIC’s chief executive, Paul McEldon added: “The BIC recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, during which time it has continued to go from strength to strength. Our people are at the core of our success and it is wonderful to welcome Lilla to the team as her experience and expertise will prove invaluable in this vital role.”
