Jesmond Dene House puts its Signature to Ringtons’ coffee and personalised bedroom range

Jesmond Dene House one of the North-East’s most prolific country house hotels has teamed up with tea and coffee merchant Ringtons Beverages to provide the company’s specialist tea and coffee to its overnight guests, and use Ringtons coffee exclusively in its bar and restaurant facilities.

Ringtons has specially designed hotel-branded Jesmond Dene roast and Jesmond Dene decaf coffees which are now available in all 40 of the luxury bedrooms at the five-star hotel. Ringtons Beverages 100% Colombian and Fairtrade coffees have also been added to the beverages menu throughout the venue. The hotel rooms are also stocked with Ringtons branded tag and envelope tea and infusions, as well as ancillaries such as sugar and edibles.

Ringtons has also supplied the business with on-demand grinders to work alongside its existing barista equipment, which ensures consistency in coffee grind size and results in a high quality and fresh coffee every time.

Stephen Drysdale head of Ringtons Beverages said: “Being offered great quality, freshly ground coffee when staying in a hotel greatly adds to the overall visitor experience. Jesmond Dene House is a beautiful hotel which offers some of the best accommodation in the region and little touches like the personalised, fresh coffee may seem like a small feature, but this attention to detail makes guests feel extra special and enables the hotel to stand out from the crowd. The team at Jesmond Dene House are fantastic to work with and have a real enthusiasm for serving the best quality beverages possible, so we are delighted that even more people are able to enjoy both our tea and coffee in such a beautiful environment.”

Jesmond Dene House has been a tea and infusions customer of Ringtons Beverages for a number of years. The addition of the bedroom range and Ringtons wholesale coffee symbolises a significant extension of the existing contract.

Danny Diver, Sommelier from Jesmond Dene House added: “Here at Jesmond Dene House we think it is of the utmost importance to deliver an experience to our guests they will never forget. This is achieved not only by friendly, attentive service, but by making sure we provide our guests with the best quality produce we can find. Be it the regionally sourced food in the kitchen, to the local gin with your tonic; we always look for great quality without compromising the diversity of our offering.

“Working with Ringtons has been a delight, as there portfolio is not only of superior quality. It is one of wide variety, which can be tailored to your needs. Now the hotel boasts two different coffee roasts, throughout the restaurant and bedrooms. In addition, a selection of over 10 loose leaf teas is served during afternoon tea. All of which are supported by Ringtons’ great after sales service and training facilities. We pride ourselves in the relationships we make with our suppliers, and aspire to maintain and grow our connection with Ringtons on into the future.”

Ringtons was established in 1907 when delivering tea to households in Newcastle, England via horse and cart. Although the horses have been swapped for vans, the company remains a family business and still offers a traditional doorstep delivery service to over 260,000 customers in the UK. Ringtons Beverages division has been operating for over 30 years as the food service arm of the company.
