Leading names in IT demonstrate latest products at CCS Media Technology Expo 2014
IT Managers from across the country attended last week’s CCS Media Technology Expo in London to see some of the biggest names in IT unveil and demonstrate their latest solutions.
The event’s main attractions included Dell’s demonstration of its latest PowerEdge VTRX shared infrastructure platform and a Caterham F1 Car and Sony unveiling the world’s brightest 3LCD projector the Sony 7K Lumens that offers industry leading image quality. Delegates were also impressed with demonstrations from Lenovo, Microsoft, Toshiba, and Fujitsu.
CCS Media marketing director James Hardy commented: “The Expo is now in its sixth year and it is safe to say that this has been the most successful event to date. It really does offer a one-stop shop window into all the IT solutions a business could require over the next year providing a fantastic opportunity for a variety of businesses to see the next generation of IT products and acquire new knowledge via the seminar stream. We believe that the attendees will have left feeling they all the information they need to base their IT strategy on for the foreseeable future.”
In addition to the many exhibitors a focus of the afternoon was the programme of keynote seminars that covered a wide range of topics including infrastructure-as-a-service, cloud based networking and managing the transition to the cloud. Well attended seminars included Cisco/Meraki, that presented on cloud based networking for greater business connectivity, Microsoft, that spoke about the increasing adoption of the cloud and the benefits it offers and Lenovo that presented on the development and future of multi-mode computing.
Hardy added: “The theme for this year has been innovation – especially in terms of the future potential and growth of the cloud. Listening to the seminars and many of the exhibitors there is now a genuinely compelling reason for end-users to adopt the cloud and it is anticipated that this will shape many organisations thinking for future IT strategy. It will be interesting to see what development this drives over the course of the next year and see how it has changed IT at next year’s Expo.”
