Portal announces UK partnership with SugarCRM

Portal, the award-winning business and technology consultancy, today announces a new strategic partnership with SugarCRM in the UK. Building on its successful global alliance with IBM, SugarCRM is expanding its reseller partner network with the appointment of Portal, one of IBM’s top business partners. With headquarters in the US and offices in the UK, SugarCRM is known for helping businesses to create extraordinary customer relationships with the most innovative and affordable CRM solution in the market.

As a result of this agreement, SugarCRM’s solution will enable Portal to integrate and manage powerful CRM solutions for UK businesses investing in customer relationships through the use of digital technologies. For additional flexibility, Portal’s Sugar solutions will be delivered on a software as a service (SaaS) basis, providing the advantages of cloud access and per user pricing.

Portal is especially well-placed to take Sugar products to existing IBM customers who are looking for a CRM solution. SugarCRM has a very strong relationship with IBM, as its CRM platform integrates powerfully with IBM software, including its collaboration, business analytics and marketing automation product families.

Clint Oram, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder, SugarCRM, comments:

“This partnership combines the best of both worlds: superior technology and outstanding consulting services. We’re confident that for companies looking to create an exceptional customer experience by integrating CRM with Business Intelligence, Mobile and Collaboration tools, this alliance offers a winning strategy and competitive edge for optimizing the customer experience.”

Jon Bradshaw, Managing Director at Portal, comments:

“This partnership with SugarCRM is a natural and complementary addition to our core solutions around Analytics, Collaboration and Mobile, and is fully in line with our increasing focus on Customer Engagement and Customer Experience solutions and our desire to expand our portfolio of cloud-based SaaS solutions where we are able to add value around consultancy, support and adoption services.

Companies with older CRM systems or custom-built CRM applications are currently looking to modernise to a cloud-based SaaS with mobile-optimised technology and richer reporting and analytics capability to deliver a better customer experience. The addition of Sugar to our portfolio reflects our ambitious growth strategy of increasing the development and delivery of cloud and SaaS based solutions and we are delighted to be working with the SugarCRM team to facilitate this growth.“
