Sodexo Prestige Venues and Events, NUFC, Lucy Goodwin andf Ashleigh Hook

Lucy Goodwin is now working as operations manager for Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events at St James’ Park and started her job just a few days after 24-year-old Ashleigh Hook took up a position as an HR officer.

Lucy said: “I was always interested in working in the hospitality industry and it’s fantastic to be doing that and working for a company like Sodexo.”

Frankie Angus, general manager for Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events at NUFC, said: “The girls are a real asset to the team.”

“Both Ashleigh and Lucy have fitted in very well and are proving to be invaluable additions to our workforce here at NUFC.”

Swinburne Maddison LLP, Simon Robinson

Swinburne Maddison LLP, has announced a key appointment to its property team.

Simon Robinson, formerly head of BHP Law’s commercial and agricultural property team has joined the Swinburne Maddison as a partner.

Partner Victoria Walton, who is head of commercial property, said: “We are delighted to make this announcement and thrilled that Simon has decided to join Swinburne Maddison at a time when we are experiencing steady growth.

“He brings with him extensive experience and knowledge of both commercial and agricultural property.

“Whilst these are areas where we already have a an excellent track record, Simon’s background and reputation are such that we expect to build further on that and increase the number of clients who choose to make the practice their first port of call when looking for sound property related legal advice.”

Floyd Hutchinson, Atlas Cloud

A 24-year-old graduate has joined cloud computing experts Atlas Cloud as its business development executive.

Floyd Hutchinson will be responsible for researching, profiling and delivering new opportunities for the company and will report to sales and marketing manager Martin Robinson.

Martin Robinson said: “We are attracting business all the time from all over the country, but the rise of cloud computing means we needed someone to see which way the market is moving so we can stay ahead of it and spot the opportunities earlier than anyone else. Floyd’s confidence and enthusiasm made him the right choice for us.”

Atlas Cloud CEO Pete Watson added: “We will always aim to recruit local staff for our offices in Leeds, Sheffield or London.

“It means we are adding to our knowledge of the area we are working in and we are investing money in the local economy, which is important to us as a growing business.”

Dicksons, Harry Howarth

South Shields-based Dicksons has announced the appointment of Harry Howarth as factory general manager; a move which sees the establishment of a new senior management team which will take forward the family-run firm of pork butchers into its next phase of growth and development.

“We are pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo, delivering high impact creative work for clients across a range of media platforms including; outdoor, print and digital advertising and packaging design.”

LSH (Newcastle) David Gray

The Newcastle office of national commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton, has expanded its team with David Gray who joins as senior surveyor. He will specialise in lease advisory matters and valuations across all sectors.

Darron Barker, head of Lambert Smith Hampton’s Newcastle office, commented: “As we move out of the recession, David’s appointment is one of the first we have made as part of our ambitious development plans.

“We are very pleased to have him on board and he is already making a significant contribution to the team, familiarising himself with the regional portfolios of some of our clients.”

Press Ahead, Richard Milloy

North East marketing and communications agency Press Ahead has appointed Richard Milloy as its new creative director.
