Lancashire uniform firm celebrates record exports
Accrington-based uniform provider, Simon Jersey, has reported its best ever week for export sales, following a recent conference held for its global distributors.
The Lancashire-based business posted record weekly export figures, demonstrating a month-on-month increase of 30 per cent and a week-on-week increase of 160 per cent.
Russia and Ireland made up around half of all sales, with Estonia and Malta also contributing significantly.
As part of the conference, delegates were given a tour of the company’s Accrington site to find out more about its full service offering, and took part in group workshops to give feedback on Simon Jersey and its products and services.
The highlight of the day was a fashion show, which showcased some of the business’ bestselling ranges, as well as a selection of new styles that will be launching in September.
Kerrie Medlicott, marketing director at Simon Jersey, said: “Simon Jersey’s multi-lingual team work with distributors on a daily basis to support their businesses, and these latest results reflect the strong relationships we have.
“The quality and history of the Simon Jersey brand means that our overseas partners can be reassured that they are purchasing a market leading solution, while our British designs offer a different product mix to their local territories, helping clients to stand out.”
