Construction products firm expands at South Tyneside business park

Chartered surveying firm Bradley Hall has helped building materials manufacturer CCN expand its footprint at South Tyneside business park.

CCN UK has taken an extra 10,000 sq. ft. of space at 5 Waldridge Way on the Simonside East Industrial Estate near South Shields to operate its advanced materials control centre.

The company, which supplies performance timber door sets, glazed screens and architectural hardware, is currently housed in a 30,000 sq. ft. premises on the same estate but decided it needed additional capacity to keep pace with its recent growth.

Bradley Hall advised CCN on the deal and negotiated a long-term lease on the property, which is a prominent warehousing facility with office space on the ground and first floors.

Richard Rafique, associate director at Bradley Hall, said: “Following a period of expansion, CCN needed additional warehousing and office space in a location that offered excellent links to main arterial routes such as the A1, A19, A194 (M), regional Metro Link, Port of Tyne and Newcastle International Airport. Kans and Kandy’s relocation created the opportunity for CCN to grow its presence on a site which has become one of the most sought-after in the North East.

Chris Maguire, director at CCN, said: “We’re very impressed with the assistance provided by Bradley Hall, which enabled the deal to be concluded swiftly and with minimum disruption to our business.

“In the short-term, the extension of our Waldridge facilities has created much-needed space for staff and the materials control element of our operation. In the long-term, it positions us well for further growth.”
