Are you on the ball? Gateshead's long running football quiz returns
Tyneside’s longest running footy quiz returns for its 12th edition at Central Bar Gateshead on Saturday 30th August 2014.
Hosted and created by Jonny Sams, he has been actively involved in planning the quizzes since they began.
Jonny set up the quiz in 2011, as he really wanted to go to a football quiz and then realised there weren’t any in his local area.
The quiz, which takes place every three months, is based on a number of areas within football, and the rounds are lighted hearted as well as challenging.
The quiz has a successful following and is perfect for those wanting to test their knowledge of the beautiful game.
Jonny said “We are really looking forward to the August quiz. I hope as many people as possible come to have a laugh, a pint with their mates and a go at the quiz.”
Teams of between 1 and 4 are able to enter. Tickets are priced at £2 and the money goes towards the winner’s prize.
The quiz takes place in the bar’s Blue Room located on the first floor and starts at 8pm.
