Gateway to new Emersons Green village officially opened
A consortium of housebuilders have launched a striking new community in Emersons Green by opening a major new road.
Lyde Green is a new village that will offer a diverse range of 1,700 homes being built by five of the UK’s leading housebuilders including Barratt Homes, Charles Church, Linden Homes, Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey.
The new road located off the A417 has been created to provide easy access into the development.
Nicola Reed, sales and marketing director of Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, said: “The landscape of Emersons Green is changing dramatically bringing much-needed homes and employment opportunities to the area.
“These are exciting times and the opening of this road is a pivotal moment in the creation of this residential development.”
Surrounded by rolling Gloucestershire countryside, Lyde Green will feature two schools, local shops, leisure and sport facilities and accessible transport links. There will also be leafy parkland and fully equipped recreation areas as well as playing fields and miles of cycle and footpaths, making Lyde Green a great place to live.
Lyde Green will comprise of more than 394 properties in its first phase, with a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes available. The homes are suitable for a wide cross-section of buyers including first-time buyers, growing families and those looking to down size.
