National conference returns to the North East
A national innovation conference is set to return to the North East this October, attracting some 500 delegates from across the UK.
Venturefest North East is a free one-day innovation event with a programme packed full of high profile speakers, in-depth workshops and one-to-one sessions with industry experts.
Now in its second year, the event, part of the national Venturefest Network, is designed to help delegates introduce innovation and innovative thinking into their business.
The conference will exhibit ground breaking developments in science and technology, whilst giving delegates a unique opportunity to pitch their business or product idea to a panel of investors.
Venturefest North East and GrowthAccelerator will bring together 25 funders representing all parts of the funding ladder from venture capital fund managers and angel investors to crowdfunding and business support organisations - all of whom have a common desire to invest in innovative businesses with strong potential.
The conference will also cover key themes including innovation in the healthcare and digital sectors, helping to arm delegates with new ideas for their business, the tools to help deliver those ideas, as well as contacts to help them along the way.
There will be a variety of talks, workshops and presentations, including sessions on 3D printing case studies to the UK innovation agenda, presented by Government innovation agency, the Technology Strategy Board.
There will be an exhibition of business advisory firms including professional services providers, business support agencies, investors and academia, as well as an innovation showcase of the region’s latest products and ideas.
Delivered by Newcastle Science City in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, Venturefest North East takes place from 8.00am-5.30pm on 21st October at Hilton NewcastleGateshead.
Free registrations are now available, with keynote speakers due to be announced on 1st September. More information and free registration can be found at www.venturefestnortheast.com or on Twitter at @VenturefestNE
