Sage UK carries out recruitment drive in Greater Manchester
Newcastle-based Sage UK has appointed 40 new staff in Greater Manchester.
The group has undergone a recruitment drive to support its growth in cloud computing services.
Since the start of 2014, the group has created around 40 positions, increasing its Salford workforce to 293. The group is also looking to expand its field sales team.
Paul Tooth, managing director of Sage Accountants’ division told Manchester Evening News, “Sage is investing heavily in next generation business software for accountants in the UK and Ireland.
“Software and services delivered online are a huge growth area, and we’re recruiting in Manchester to help us meet demand and build a strong line-up across sales, marketing, software research and development, and in our commercial teams.
“There are huge opportunities for accountants and businesses who want to work more flexibly through online delivery, and Sage is creating new solutions to support them. It’s a very exciting time to join the UK’s only FTSE100 software company.”
