New Interim Chief Executive for West of Scotland Housing Association

West of Scotland Housing Association (WSHA) has appointed Carron Garmory as its new Interim Chief Executive following the retirement of existing Chief Executive Duncan McNaught.

Carron is currently WSHA’s Director of Finance and Corporate Services and brings to the role a wealth of experience and knowledge of the organisation. Prior to joining WSHA Carron was the Director of Finance at The Wise Group, a social enterprise helping people into work, regenerating communities and building a greener society.

Talking about her new position, Carron said: “I’m passionate about West of Scotland Housing Association and making a positive difference for our tenants.

“This is a really exciting challenge and I’d like to thank the Management Committee for their ongoing support and guidance. I look forward to continue working closely with them in my new role.”

Katie McLeod, Chair of West of Scotland Housing Association said: “It is with regret that our Chief Executive Duncan McNaught is retiring due to ill health. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the sector, Duncan will be a huge miss to the organisation, both professionally and personally.

“However, both myself and the other Committee Members know that with our support and that of Gentoo Group, Carron’s appointment will enable a seamless transition for all of our stakeholders. We wish her well in her new role.”

Carron Garmory takes up the position of Interim Chief Executive with immediate effect.

WSHA’s whole ethos is about believing nothing is impossible and finding new ways to challenge conventions. WSHA aims to make society a better place to live and to make a real difference to the way people live their life.
