National property firm increases North East presence

National commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has announced it has signed a lease for new office accommodation at Earl Grey House on Newcastle’s Grey Street.

The move, which will be led by head of office Darron Barker, will enable the firm to expand its team in Newcastle, once fully operational from 1st September.

In June, Lambert Smith Hampton announced its acquisition of the commercial division of BTW Shiells, Northern Ireland’s leading firm of commercial property consultants, employing some 75 staff.

Darron Barker said: “We are delighted to be moving into our new office accommodation. We are very well placed to move the business forward at a time when there is very definitely an upturn in the market.

“We have already begun to expand with the recent appointment of David Gray, as senior surveyor within lease advisory and graduate, Rachel Farrier and will be announcing further appointments in the coming weeks, so we are facing the future with confidence and look forward to an exciting period of growth.”

Lambert Smith Hampton’s Newcastle office provides a full range of property advice and boasts an extensive client portfolio, including Alliance Boots, Nexus/DB Regio, Northumbrian Water, Atkins, Telereal Trillium and several local authorities as well as national retailers such as Claire’s Accessories and Tui Travel plc (formerly Thomson Holidays).
