U.S. Department of Commerce Grants Trade Fair Certification to The British & International Franchise Exhibition

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has granted Trade Fair Certification to The British & International Franchise Exhibition, the UK’s leading international franchise event, organised by Venture Marketing Group (VMG).

This follows their successful co-operation over the last 18 months, during which time the 2014 Exhibition also attained Trade Fair Certification. As a result, more U.S franchise systems have offered exciting franchise opportunities to thousands of aspiring franchisees in the UK and from overseas by exhibiting at the event in March 2014. The next British & International Franchise Exhibition will take place at London’s Olympia on 13 & 14 March 2015.

The Department of Commerce is represented in the UK by the U.S. Commercial Service (USCS), based in the U.S. Embassy London. USCS supports U.S. franchisors seeking to enter and to expand in the UK market. The renewal of Trade Fair Certification means The British & International Franchise Exhibition will again be promoted as a market entry and expansion opportunity to American franchise brands.

The British & International Franchise Exhibition 2014 was the only UK franchise event this year to have received DOC Trade Fair Certification. It is also the only major London franchise exhibition endorsed by the British Franchise Association (bfa), which maintains quality and standards in the UK. Knowing that the bfa has approved all exhibitors, visitors to this and other exclusively endorsed VMG franchise exhibitions are reassured and confident in their discussions with exhibiting companies.

Among the U.S. franchise companies which exhibited this year were Anytime Fitness, McDonalds, Baskin Robbins, Crestcom, Johnny Rockets, FranNet Global, Tutor Doctor and Sandler Training. More U.S. brands are expected to exhibit in 2015.

The International Franchise Conference within The British & International Franchise Exhibition 2015 will feature a greater range of informative speakers from across the globe than before and be bigger than ever.

In addition, a representative from the U.S. Embassy will feature within the exhibition and will be available to offer British brands advice and assistance on taking their franchise to America.
