CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards shortlist announced

More than fifty (50) of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire’s leading public relations teams, consultancies and individuals have made the shortlist of the 2014 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards, the region’s premier public relations awards scheme.

Amongst the shortlisted candidates are Approach PR and Umpf who top the bill with seven award nominations each. Other agencies include Finn, Grayling and Engage Comms with inhouse teams for East Coast, Asda and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue also nominated.

Commenting on the announcement, Gary Taylor MCIPR, Chair of the CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire group, said: “Once again, we’ve seen entries of the highest standard, reflecting the huge amount of professional public relations work that takes place across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. I want to congratulate everyone who made it through the judging process, and I look forward to finding out who takes the Gold Awards at the Pride Awards Dinner in November.”

Last year, over 250 people attended the awards dinner at The Queens Hotel in Leeds where twenty one gold awards were shared amongst sixteen different winners. Guests will again gather in Leeds for this year’s event where leading talent will be recognised in categories including ‘outstanding consultancy’, ‘outstanding young communicator’ and ‘best freelance practitioner’.

The results of the 2014 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie awards night on Thursday 27 November 2014 at The Queens, Leeds. Tickets are now available via the CIPR website.

Winners of the 2013 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards included South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, winners of ‘Outstanding In-House Public Relations Team’, and Manifest, named ‘Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy’.
