WHAT IS CODE PUB?

Code Pub is an event to help get Code Clubs underway in schools and local youth organisations for kids aged 9-11. Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteer-led after school coding clubs for children.

The event will explain how Code Club works and the support available in the area. The event is FREE to attend, and although called Code Pub, soft drinks will be available. It’s also open to anyone else interested in supporting Code Club, or parents with kids who want to get involved, so please join us!

DEVELOPERS AND IT COMPANIES

Would you like to spark excitement and interest in IT for kids, encourage the next generation of coders and help develop a skills working to support the region’s growing IT economy? Join us at the event for more information, networking as well as beers and stotties.

TEACHERS AND YOUTH WORKERS

Interested in having a code club in school or at you youth club? Looking for an opportunity to meet businesses, other youth organisations and find out more about the opportunities for young people? This is THE chance to get more information on how code Club works and network with local businesses and your community.

IT APPRENTICESHIPS

This is also an opportunity for businesses to network with young people currently taking part on an apprenticeship programme and to showcase their success. Employers can gain an understanding of how to harness fresh talent and how apprenticeship programmes can benefit their business.
