Langtree lands seafood giant as tenants

North West based property company and regeneration specialist Langtree has let a 6,000 sq ft unit to one of the country’s leading fish suppliers at its City Park Trading Estate site in Stoke-on-Trent.

UK fish merchants, F Smales & Son, which supplies over 3,000 of the country’s fish and chip shops, has taken space at the premises in order to have a regional presence and to provide the best customer service possible in the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Black Country.

F Smales & Son will use the new site to distribute its extensive range of frozen fish and food products.

The 75 year old family owned company which grew out of a market stall in Kingston-upon-Hull, has signed a three year lease and will create six new jobs with the opening of the new distribution centre.

Robin Orr, financial director at F Smales & Son said: “The City Park Trading Estate is an ideal location for a cross-docking operation to service fish & chip shops in the West Midlands region.”

Located at Dewsbury Road, City Park Trading Estate provides more than 90,000 sq ft of industrial and trade space units, ranging in size from 1,304 to 16,357 sq ft in size, and is an established trading location in Stoke on Trent.
