Business throws a ‘partea’ for elderly guests
Chester-based de Winter PR & Marketing opened its doors to host a tea party for a Chester Contact the Elderly group last weekend.
The de Winter team greeted six elderly guests, along with volunteer drivers on Sunday afternoon, welcoming them to a meeting room decorated with bunting and flowers.
The guests were treated to sandwiches and a homemade spread of cakes, scones and biscuits baked by staff, as well as copious amounts of tea.
Kate Cox, Managing Director, commented: “Over the last few months everyone from team de Winter has been dedicating their time and energy to some exciting community focused activities, to give back to the city that’s helped us grow and flourish.
“Contact the Elderly does great work providing much needed opportunities to socialise for old people and hosting the tea party was a popular choice with the team. Loneliness and social isolation is a growing issue, not just in Chester but also across the country. If we can help highlight this issue and build friendships, we will be sure to continue our tea parties.”
The multi award-winning agency, recently announced as one of the UK’s top 40 agencies outside London, took part in the tea party as part of its calendar of charitable community events and activities to mark the business’s 25th anniversary this summer.
