Garage Data Systems partner with Middlesbrough College
Middlesbrough College have accepted an approach from technology company, Garage Data Systems, to form a partnership.
The partnership will focus on training future vehicle technicians.
Garage have donated industry-standard software to the college, free of charge, meaning hundreds of students will enter the workplace already knowing what employers expect when it comes to servicing and fitting motor vehicles.
The software, which features all vehicle makes and models, provides vehicle technicians and customers with an estimated time a project should take, whether that’s fitting new brake pads or changing oil.
Managing director at Garage Data Systems, Neil Stewart, said: “The software teaches all aspects of garage business and its simplicity is its beauty.
“There’s no complexity - students can get to grips with it in no time, strengthening their knowledge and making even better skilled motor vehicle technicians.”
Middlesbrough College lecturer, Ian Moore, said: “It’s a huge benefit to students and we’re very grateful to those at Garage Data Systems for their benevolent gesture.
“We are always seeking ways we can improve our students’ job prospects and this will help no end.”
