Iceland recently announced the appointment of Peter Andre as the new face of the brand.

For its last financial year to the end of March 2014 Iceland, through its holding company Topco, generated like-for-like sales of £2.71 billionn, an increase of 2.7% on the previous year.

The firm has been focusing on its online proposition and presence overseas, as well as the reduction of prices in its stores. It posted an adjusted EBITDA of £202 million, compared to £226.3 million last year.

Store Manager, Karen Gurnhill told The Gazette : “We will be creating around 15 new jobs for the area, and as we have been voted the Best Big Company to work for in 2012 and 2014, we are sure there will be a lot of happy faces to greet our customers on opening day.”
