Burscough firm Frese co-operates with smart meter manufacturer Kamstrup to give clients total control
Frese UK is co-operating with smart meter manufacturer Kamstrup to give end users total monitoring and control of their heating systems.
Burscough-based Frese UK manufactures pressure independent flow and temperature control valves to regulate and balance wet heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems.
The firm has adopted smart meters manufactured by Kamstrup to speed up installation of their equipment and effectively monitor energy usage at multi-dwelling properties.
On projects where multiple dwellings or commercial properties access a single communal heat source, such as a boiler, chiller, heat pump or CHP engine, Kamstrup meters connected to Frese-equipped systems will mean tenants and landlords are able to monitor heat energy use and keep a close eye on expenditure.
Frese PICVs lead the HVAC industry for efficiency and have become the standard for dynamic balancing. Kamstrup smart meters are integrated into hydronic systems featuring Frese products, including the Conheat Heat Interface Unit, from the outset rather than being retrofitted afterwards.
Those using properties where Frese valves are installed will now be able to see the efficiencies of the system for themselves as they keep track of their energy use, when heating their home or office, using the state-of-the-art meters.
“The ability to monitor energy use is becoming ever more critical for occupants and landlords,” said Frese UK managing director Stephen Hart. “Kamstrup’s smart meters are on the cutting edge and by working with them we deliver accurate, integrated monitoring of our systems to allow accurate energy monitoring and charging.”
