Regus to open second Leicester centre

Regus, the global workspace provider, will open its second business centre in Leicester on 13th October in the refurbished St George’s House, on the corner of St George’s Way and Charles Street.

The Regus centre, occupying four floors of the building, offers businesses of all sizes a range of modern, smart and flexible workspaces, just a short walk from the train station, and features an attractive top-floor terrace overlooking the city.

The centre’s facilities will include part-time and co-working space, Day Offices, full-time serviced offices and meeting rooms, as well as reception, business support services and Virtual Offices.

Steve Purdy, UK Managing Director at Regus commented, “Regus’ growth and investment in the city is testament to increasing demand for flexible places to work that offer a productive environment for business people to touch down, meet, co-work or base a business.

“St George’s House is an exciting addition to our network in the Midlands, providing a new centrally located business base with convenient access to the rail station. We expect strong take-up from local small businesses, start-ups and remote workers as well as national firms opening satellite offices and global businesses establishing a footprint in the Midlands.

“As world leader in flexible workspace, we are committed to continually expanding our network and making business easier for our customers.”

St George’s House is owned by the Nottingham-based MRP group. MRP acquired the property in 2012 through national property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton to refurbish as Grade A offices, and revised their plans to accommodate a bespoke specification for Regus.

Richard Anderson of MRP said: “Attracting a global provider like Regus to St George’s House is a real coup. We’ve worked closely with the company to ensure that the high-spec design meets the professional image that its clients expect.”

Regus has several other business centres in the area, including Grove Park, Enderby, Nuneaton and East Midlands Airport. The company has 300 business centres in the UK, and a global presence across 104 countries. It is also rolling out a new breed of centres – called Regus Express - designed to help people co-work or hold productive meetings outside of a traditional office environment, such as in motorway service areas or retail parks. Regus Express at Watford Gap motorway services, near Northampton, opens later this year.
