Lancashire clothing firm to supply Team GB for Rio Olympics 2016

The Lancashire-based uniform provider, Simon Jersey, has been appointed to be an official supplier to Team GB for the next Summer Olympics in Rio 2016.

Simon Jersey will provide Team GB with a range of bespoke suits, to be worn at official events in the UK and in Rio in the lead up the Olympics and beyond.

The company has also been selected to dress Team GB for the closing parade, which will reach a global audience of almost 900 million.

“This is the first time a corporate wear supplier has been awarded the contract to supply formalwear or parade wear to Team GB, let alone both.

British Olympic Association CEO Bill Sweeney, said: “Our preparations for Rio are on track, and confirming our formalwear provider shows that we’re now getting into the detailed elements of that planning.
